Join us each Sunday morning for heartfelt worship and clear, Bible-based preaching that glorifies Christ and strengthens our faith.
Our youth and children’s ministries help young hearts grow in their knowledge and love for God through Scripture-centered teaching
Gather with us for a midweek Bible study for adults, youth, and kids — a time of learning and prayer together.
We believe in sharing the love of Christ beyond our walls — from local outreach in Trussville to global mission partnerships.
Trussville Southside Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist Church. We strive to adhere to the teachings in the Holy Bible that we might represent our Lord Jesus Christ in Trussville and beyond.
Our Sunday Morning Service begins with the joyful singing of sacred music, praising and honoring God our Father and Jesus Christ His Son.
When it comes to preaching, Pastor AL says keep it simple, just preach the Word! The preaching is straight forward from the Holy Bible, not according to man's opinion. We don't promise that you'll hear a timely, relevant message that will leave you feeling good about yourself, but we do promise that you'll hear the truth of God's Word, and that has the power to transform lives!
Our Wednesday Evening meetings begin with a Fellowship meal at 6:00 pm followed by our Bible Study groups at 6:45 pm. The Youth dismiss to their classes and the Adults gather for Bible Study and prayer.
We would love to have you as a guest at any of our meetings, and we believe you would be blessed by coming.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8

The Bible has the answers, the Bible is God’s message to man...
We're talking about God the Father, who created all things including you and I. He knows us and wants to have a relationship with us. The problem is every one of us have broken his commandments, think about it, have you ever lied? have you ever stolen anything? Disobeying even one of God's laws makes us guilty of sin. The Bible says
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23
That means not a single person on earth can claim to be innocent.
Sin is in our nature and it comes to us through our earthly father Adam, the first man that God created. When Adam disobeyed God he brought sin into the world and passed it on to his kids. (that's you and I) And the penalty for sin is eternal death and separation from God.
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" Romans 5:12
BUT hold on there’s good news, it’s the Gospel! Even though we are guilty of sin, God loves us and he made a way for us to be forgiven of our sins; it is offered through his son Jesus Christ who willingly suffered and died for our sins.
"For as by one man's disobedience (that's Adam) many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one (that's Jesus Christ) shall many be made righteous." Romans 5:19
When Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross, he paid the price for our sins. And after three days God raised him from the dead! Through Jesus Christ’s death, burial and resurrection we can have the hope of eternal life.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
Thank God it's a free gift because we can't do enough good works to earn it ourselves
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
There is something we must do, believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Agree with God that we are sinners; and repent, that is to have a change of mind, which begins upon hearing the Word of God, and by sorrow of heart one thinks differently about their former sins, and particularly of their disbelief in Jesus Christ as Lord, which results in a turning from sins and religion and a turning toward God for salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and that God raised him from the dead. By making this simple decision in your heart to trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation, you receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life!
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
“And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.” Luke 18:13
"(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)" 2 Corinthians 6:2
If you have believed the Gospel and called upon the name of Jesus, then praise the Lord and welcome to the family! Take the first step in your new life in Christ by assembling together with other Christians in a good Bible believing Church like Trussville Southside Baptist Church. Would you let us know about your decision to ask the Lord to forgive you of your sins? We would like to pray for you and encourage you in your new life in Christ!
Sincerely,
Pastor AL Choquette
